UPVCUPVC

What is UPVC?

UPVC Traffic Sign has been added to HR Groep Streetcare's standard supply package. The product feature concerns the carrier, the sign is made of recycled plastic.

The backing sheets, which are separated from the retroreflective material when traffic signs are applied, are incorporated into UPVC (Unplasticized Polyvinyl Chloride). The U in UPVC stands for Unplasticized, which means "without plasticizers." UPVC traffic signs are offered in the US20 variant. "US" stands for Ultimate Signing, which is highly recommended by the Dutch traffic sign industry trade association (VNVF).

With about 90% recycled material, we are cleaning up the world!

Why choose UPVC?

With a 20-year expiring warranty on the foil, combined with the backing, recycled UPVC can ultimately have multiple lives. Simply put, it can have a continuous life if we keep recycling the same product.

The carriers are sturdy, lightweight, waterproof and fire-resistant in the highest class. With this, the largest supplier of traffic signs in the Netherlands gives an innovative answer to reuse of materials, scoring at the highest level of the VNVF sustainability index: Gold. The product fully complies with NEN3381:2020 and is CE approved.

UPVC has an EQI score of 4.41 per m².

The environmental cost indicator ("EQI score") includes all relevant environmental impacts of a product, through the entire chain, and is measured through a life cycle analysis. The lower the score, the better for the environment.
